For legal reasons I can't make this song available for download directly.
You'd be hard-pressed to find anyone who hasn't heard this song recently... with various appearances in games such as Lumines (PSP, XBLA), as well as the occasional cameo in the Wii action title, No More Heroes, (I've been known to idle in the shops just to listen to it!) So hopefully you're familliar with the synthesized awesomeness that is Genki Rockets! It's even more awesome performed live, as it was back in 2007 for the 7/7/07 LIVE EARTH concerts.
Oh and it did make an appearance in Orange Lounge Revolution. :3
(Editor's note: I'm currently away from my home computer, so wednesday updates will be sparse until my return sometime in August. I do have a song lined up for the week of the 7th anniversary show, though. So I'll catch you guys then!! --DT)
In case you missed it my second favorite adventure game series is getting a remake and a sequel series this year!
Today's track is "The Ship Song" from Monkey Island 3
Please note due to copyright issues I can not make this song available for you to download directly.
From Monkey Island 3 (my personal favorite of the series) this song was introduced to us out of no where while sailing the seas for the first time. In order to get the crew to get on with running the ship you've gotta get them to stop singing by following the different dialogue choices and trying to trip them up. It's not really a puzzle but it was damn funny.
PS. NEW MONKEY ISLAND IS COMING OUT WOOOO!!!!!!!!!
While it doesn't have a menacing name, it IS deadly
Today's track is Death Egg Zone 1 from Sonic 3 and Knuckles
Please note due to copyright issues I can not make this song available for you to download directly
This is the last stage of the fairly acclaimed game Sonic 3 and Knuckles. And this is probably by far the best 2D Sonic game there is. And it shows, the music is fantastic! Every level has astounding themes, though I think the best is Death Egg Zone. The songs captures the space theme and also it gives you the impression that end is near, that the final battle is close to happen! Definitely love it!
If you want to post your opinion about today's track or you've got a song suggestion you would like to see featured from a game let us know in the comments or hit me over at Twitter (@act_deft) and we'll see what we can do about featuring it in an up coming article!
