Yeah, let's keep it as that.

Today's track is Simple and Clean by Utada Hikaru from Kingdom Hearts

Please note due to copyright issues I can not make this song available for you to download directly.

You all know about Kingdom Hearts, Square and Disney joining to make a game. While the premise or concept sounds really weird, it works pretty well. This is one of the main reasons I got a PS2 back in the day, and I still don't regret that decision. Like I said, you already know about this game and what it is about, but to summarize a bit it's pretty much a Square Action/Adventure RPG with Disney all over it. You travel across many different Disney worlds to try to save the whole universe from impending doom. The story is quite compelling and the game is quite entertaining. But we're here to talk about the soundtrack.

The music in this game is quite marvelous, then again it's Square we're talking about and they know how to make music (with a few exceptions...). But the most memorable song of the game is of course the theme song "Simple and Clean" sung by J-Pop sensation, Utada Hikaru. The song, as its name tells you, is quite simple yet very soothing, a very calmed and moving song. Utada is quite the singer and Square made the right choice for this. As they did by bringing her back to do the theme of the 2nd main installment in the series, which we'll talk about in the next installment of ILTS this week!
