We live in a microtransaction world now in gaming culture-- but is it what the consumers REALLY want? Our listeners give some strong feedback in the Foogle question of the week segment, and our hosts chime in too at the top of the show. We also look forward to PAX East, and two companies plan to unveil new games at the show!
The first official details on the Playstation 4 were revealed this week, so bring on the snark! Okay, it's not really all snark, but we do talk tonight about what we liked, and where our reservations still lie with the new console. We open up our skypeline for an extended period to take some listener voices on the console, and their impressions of Sony's event as well.
It's not a Sony-dominated night, however, as some Microsoft and Nintendo news round out the second half of our show tonight

Our listeners chime in, as well as special guest Flaco Jones in studio, who talks about his experiences with Ni No Kuni. We are back after our unexpected week off, and boy has a lot happened in the industry. It looks like 2013 will be the year of dualing next-gen consoles after all, with Sony set to make a big announcement on 2/20. However, as one caller to the show brings up later in the show, do we REALLY need a new console? And Nintendo finds itself in a pinch this week as one of their third party games pushes back to September. Could this be the beginning of the end, or could Nintendo be redeemed when competitors fall victim to similar issues? We dig thru the rumors and have lively discussion on all things gaming and yes-- Harvey Fierstein, Dame Edna and the E3 Pope too. No topic is off limits on OLR!

There are plenty of rumors about the Next Xbox as well as the Playstation 4 making rounds around the internet, and we bring them up on our show. However, after some openly admit to making hoaxes, how much of these rumors can actually be believed? We try to separate the Facts from the Crap on an all new edition of Orange Lounge Radio.
