Yeah, okay. This was just an excuse to feature the Rob Roberts parody cover of everyone's favorite 3rd MIX+/ITG license, Bambee's Bumble Bee! The cover is just one of those things you can't unhear, and you'll never hear the original the same way again! As mentioned earlier it also made an appearance on DDR's only competition, In The Groove. Interstingly it featured different steps and a longer cut of the song, compared to its 3rd MIX+ counterpart.
But back in the day, when the hosts used to hijack the stream 'cause we fuckin' feel like it) Rob Roberts used to do these 'ddr parody sing-alongs' and this was probably his most memorable performance. Affectionately known as the 'skie's voice: the game' edit, it was written by two of the shows fans at the time. It would eventually go down in the history books as one of OLR's fondest memories. Check it out now in Orange Lounge Revolution!
And if you liked this pick, stay tuned till Saturday when I celebrate a special pair of days to BEMANI fans such as myself.... see you then!
As promised last week at the end of my retrospective on Konami's Castlevania series, I mentioned that this week's installment would highlight the games of one of the most popular game creators ever, Hideo Kojima! So hit the jump below!
Today's track is the Main Theme from Colin McRae Rally 3
Hey guys! This song is available for download! Read the article to find out where and how!
The Colin McRae Rally games are a long running series way back from the PSX era, currently the series is known the DiRT series (Though in PAL regions, it still has Colin McRae's name on the title). There were five CMR games in total and two DiRT games (with a third one in development) and all of them pretty good. The CMR series offer a really good rally simulation with an arcade feel. Probably my favorite racing games ever, but I'm not here to talk about the games, I'm here to talk about the music.
The CMR series is not notorious for its music, but one track really stands out and it is the Main Theme for CMR3. It is pretty similar to The Chemical Brothers' "Star Guitar", which many have even confused with (even yours truly). It's a really good song though, it starts slow and then the beats start to pick up the song, like a trance-styled song. Probably one of the few songs I let play while the attract video plays, considering that the video is pretty well synched with the song itself.
Also, as a random note, the song doesn't have a real title, it is just the "main theme" (the makers of the song, Octagon Music, told me so via email a long time ago when I contacted them). Curious, huh?

Kinect Discussion, Gran Turismo 5 delays, PSN Original TV Shows, Apple augmented reality patent, Updated Xbox Piracy Measures, Capcom Classic iOS Arcade, Marvel vs Capcom art book and MORE on the show where EVERY gamer has a voice- Orange Lounge Radio!
Kinect seems to be on the minds of our hosts in studio, as there was plenty of time for us to try out the new system with us having last week off. We compare the two Dance Games, the big Dance title, and the smaller title hardly anyone seems to be talking about- Dance Masters. You might be surprised at what our hosts find to be the pros and cons of each game.
The whole show isn't about Kinect though, as we get into some other top news stories including news about Playstation Networks "dream" of being the next HBO, and a new iPhone arcade app from Capcom that includes limited free retro gaming goodness. Indie games are moved on XBOX Live which has some people ticked off, and Bejeweled 3 has a release date.
As this is the show where EVERY gamer has a voice, we get into some phone calls that include a report from the Nintendo World Store re-launch in New York City, and a memorial for a video game youtube channel so over the top you would think the guy actually died. All this and MORE including twitter topics, emails and chatroom antics, all on another episode of Orange Lounge Radio!
