My favorite adventure game series is back with a vengeance. Time to celebrate.

Today's track is "Introduction" from The Secret Of Monkey Island
Please note due to copyright issues I can not make this song available for you to download directly.

It should be no secret that I love the Monkey Island series. I mean LOVE it. With the re-release of The Secret of Monkey Island on XBLA (and PC (Yes I got both) and episode 1 of the new series from Telltale Games being released last week (I've already finished both twice already (fanboy)) I figured it was time to celebrate with one of my favorite tracks. If you've never played this game series I suggest starting now it's great fun with with some of the funniest moments EVER in gaming. There you go a song and a micro review what more could you want.

ilovePacManFever

Pac-Man Fever that is.

Today's track is Pac-Man Fever by Buckner & Garcia

Please note due to copyright issues I can not make this song available for you to download directly.

Well, today is a special request made by @GoldAnthro. And it's a very catchy yet good song too, it's the Pac-Man Fever.  This song was one of many things done by the Pac-Man craze back in the 80's. You could find anything with Pac-Man on it, plates, glasses, clothes, heck he even had his own cereal and Saturday Morning Cartoon! But of course everyone remembers the album and song Pac-Man Fever.  This song has a good and catchy rhythm and basically describes what everyone was doing at the time, playing Pac-Man!

So go spread the fever and play some Pac-Man!

If like @GoldAnthro, you have a request for us to post on ¨I love that song¨ or just simply wanna comment on today's pick, please leave us a comment here or hit us up on Twitter @act_deft!

Activision and EA decide Wii owners should pay a premium on music games too. PDF Print E-mail

highprices

Unfortunately this isn't some sort of hallucination. If you want your music games this fall for the Wii you'll soon have to pony up some extra money to get them.

Since the launch of this generation of consoles PS3 and XBOX 360 gamers have gotten used to higher a $59.99 price point for most new games. Now it seems the Wii may soon join them. Your typical Wii game costs usually no more than $49.99 on the high end of the spectrum unless it bundled with something extra like Wii Fit, or EA Sports Active. Usually games on the Wii are priced on par with their PS2 counterparts since usually both versions are developed with similar graphics and memory limitations. It looks like with both The Beatles: Rock Band and Guitar Hero 5, EA and Activision believe they can command a higher price point for their games. Gamestop, Best Buy, Newegg, and Amazon among others are showing the Wii game-only versions costing around $59.99, the same as the XBOX 360 and PS3 versions. This will be the first time the Wii has had games retail for a $59.99 SRP price point without including a bundled accessory. Both games are due out in September.

We are back after the independence day holiday to talk about FIRE! Okay, we also get into game chat too tonight, and in part A we talk about games that have disappeared from XBL marketplace. Why did this suddenly happen? Well, it makes sense once you hear it. Some rumors about the Playstation 3 sound very exciting, but the price point of the PSP Go is still leaving a sour taste in our mouth. Think we are right? Think we are totally off base? Dont forget to send us an e-mail to mailbag at orangeloungeradio dot com. All this and more including a clarification on Chinas new gold farming law, and information on a new Final Fantasy game! Most importantly- YOUR voices through our chatroom, our phone calls, e-mails and much more on the show where EVERY gamer has a voice: Orange Lounge Radio.
