Update: Thanks to ThePatrick for the updated info. Changed list of what's missing.
Update 2: I just want to say up front that I'm still buying this game launch day and still have my pre-order. The point of this article is to express my displeasure to Sega at what they've done for the series. When Yakuza 2 only sold 40,000 units in the US it was unclear if the 3rd would even make it. Support Sega and the series if you like it even with the cuts otherwise the next one won't be released. Buy it new, show your support and remember you're a customer and you can always express how unhappy you are with a product via official channels.
How Sega is breaking my heart again.
Over the last 3 weeks I've decided to get caught up on a game series I missed; Yakuza (Ryu ga Gotoku). The first game in the series was released on the PS2 in 2006 in North America but for some reason I skipped it. The second game released here in 2008 I skipped even though I had an interest because I skipped the first and didn't want to miss out on the story line.
Tonights part A gets off to the most random of starts, but it just would not be Orange Lounge Radio if it was not for the tangent train! CHOO CHOO! Well, we do get down to video game news, running down the latest from Nintendos big press event this week, as well as a new unlock for developers to play with on the PS3! There is some sad news out of the UK though, as apparently layoffs do not just effect the US video game scene. Also, apparently you can score some Peggle for FREE, if you do not mind a little spam! In Part B, Rob talks about his thoughts on the new PSN reality show 'The Tester' while Shermie the cat has a review all her own. Final Fantasy 14 might have the shortest turnaround of a Final Fantasy game EVER at just 2 days, and what is a strange new trademark that has been filed by Squeenix recently? The show takes a serious note to catch up with a long time listener from Chile about the tragic events that took place this week, and then take some more phone calls, e-mails, twitter topics, and much much more from our listeners. Tune in to this weeks episode of the show where EVERY gamer has a voice- Orange Lounge Radio!
This weeks episode gets off to a weird start with bandwidth issues but it is all part of the joys of live radio. We get into discussion about piracy developments with an ESA report and a R4 lawsuit update. On top of all this, we have further details on Ubisofts new DRM making waves, and an upcoming PSP game requiring online activation brings lots of opinions in studio and live in our chatroom. In Part B, we talk a bit about iPhone gaming developments including certain games getting pulled from the store as well as a strange new port of a very current games. We like the idea of a long demo, and Darksiders does not disappoint with an estimated demo well over an hour in length. A very very strange erotic game takes our show into the toilet... or bathtub... we really are not sure. We also may have poked fun at Leona Lewis a little bit. Sorry bout that. All this and MORE including your live chatroom antics, phone calls, e-mails, twitter topics and MORE on the show where EVERY gamer has a voice- Orange Lounge Radio! [EXPLICIT] due to discussion on an adult game in part B getting a little extreme.
