For my second installment of Indie Spotlight, I thought I'd go with a game that would be more of a 'pick up and play' title that requires less of a time commitment than my last entry. Hit the jump to read about this fun little shooter.
Today's track is Shatter (Stage 4C) from Space Invaders Extreme
Please note due to copyright issues I can not make this song available for you to download directly.
Space Invaders Extreme is one the best DS games out there. It's definitely NOT the Space Invaders you have played before. Like most games getting a "Remix" nowadays, this would be the Space Invaders one. And the soundtrack is really something you shouldn't missed. Especially since the game resembles Rez, using the music to help you through game and creating music and beats of your own.
This song is featured in official soundtrack of the game, which is called Space Invaders Extreme Audio Cluster. The soundtrack was made by Zuntata, an old soundtrack collaborator over at Taito. Most of the soundtracks he has worked on have been pretty good.
So I suggest you to pick up the game. It's really cheap too.
If you want to post your opinion about today's track or you've got a song suggestion you would like to see featured from a game let us know in the comments and we'll see what we can do about featuring it in an up coming article!
